Meet Me

Sleep is my specialty, but understanding families is at the heart of what I do.

Hi! I'm Rebecca.

I'm a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Sleep Trainer, Newborn Care Specialist, and Nap Educator. I'm also a Breastfeeding Doula, Postpartum Doula, Birth and Bereavement Doula, and Life Coach.

However, my experience with children and families started long before I became a sleep consultant.

I've spent more than 25 years working with families, and have worked as a nanny and childcare provider since 2001, caring for children from infancy through the school-age years. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Exceptional Child Studies, with education and training in Birth through Kindergarten Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, and Special Education.

All of that experience shapes the way I approach sleep today.

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all sleep solutions.

Every child is different, and every family is different.

Your child's age, development, temperament, sleep history, environment, routines, feeding patterns, and individual needs all matter. So do your family's schedule, parenting preferences, goals, and what you're actually comfortable implementing.

That's why I start by understanding what's happening rather than starting with a predetermined sleep method.

I work with families to identify what may be affecting their child's sleep and create personalized, realistic strategies for improving it. Depending on your child's needs, we may look at sleep schedules and wake windows, bedtime and nap routines, sleep environment, developmental changes, feeding as it relates to sleep, sleep associations, independent sleep skills, or other factors contributing to the challenges you're experiencing.

Sleep support that's rooted in connection, not control, and realistically tailored to your child and your family.

My experience goes beyond nighttime sleep.

My training as a Newborn Care Specialist allows me to help families understand what is normal during those exciting and exhausting first months, establish healthy sleep foundations, create realistic newborn routines, and feel more confident caring for their new baby.

As a Nap Educator, I have additional training in nap sleep science, sleep environment, development and play, nap transitions, and the factors that can affect daytime sleep.

My background in breastfeeding and postpartum support also helps me look at sleep within the larger context of caring for a baby and supporting a family. I can provide breastfeeding education and support within the scope of my training and refer families to an IBCLC or other medical provider when needs extend beyond that scope.

Because sleep rarely exists in isolation.

Development, feeding, temperament, routines, environment, family dynamics, and parental well-being can all influence what's happening.

More than a certification.

My professional background includes:

  • Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant

  • Certified Sleep Trainer

  • Newborn Care Specialist

  • Nap Educator

  • Breastfeeding Doula

  • Postpartum Doula

  • Birth and Bereavement Doula

  • Life and Wellness Coach

  • Bachelor's Degree in Exceptional Child Studies, with emphasis in Birth through Kindergarten Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, and Special Education

  • More than 25 years of experience working directly with children and families

I also hold a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management and have completed post-master's study in business administration and organizational leadership. While those degrees may not tell me why your baby woke up at 4:37 this morning, they've shaped years of my work building communities, educating families, and helping people create systems and routines that actually work in real life.

My goal is bigger than getting your child to sleep tonight.

Of course I want your child to sleep better. I want you to sleep better, too.

But I also want you to understand your child's sleep well enough that you feel more confident navigating the next regression, nap transition, schedule change, vacation, illness, developmental leap, or unexpected disruption.

My job isn't simply to hand you a schedule and tell you to follow it.

It's to help you understand what's happening, give you practical strategies for changing what isn't working, and support you as you figure out what works for your family.

Sometimes that means creating a comprehensive Family Rest Plan. Sometimes you just need help troubleshooting one frustrating sleep issue. And sometimes you need reassurance that what your child is doing is completely normal.

That's why I offer different levels of support depending on what your family actually needs.

Ready to get more rest?

I'd love to hear what's happening with your child's sleep and what you'd like to change.

Every family starts with a complimentary 15-minute consultation. You don't need to know which service you need before we talk. We'll discuss your concerns, your goals, and what kind of support makes the most sense for your family.
